Cambre worked with this major international organisation to raise its profile among key European stakeholders and increase awareness of its mission and role in international development.
This major international organisation [unnamed for reasons of confidentiality] chose Cambre to increase awareness in Europe of its role in development and to raise the profile of the organisation as well as of its secretary general, at a time of economic and financial crisis forcing EU development policies to focus more on the private sector.
Cambre identified a number of platforms from which to project the message, including: a) Events in Brussels and other European countries, from press briefings to conferences and even a European Parliament appearance by the secretary general; b) Meetings with development-related policymakers and other stakeholders; c) A dynamic website acting as a hub to promote all events and push news; d) A media toolkit including a brochure, video clips, contacts and background information; e) Extensive media outreach to publicise the events as well as messaging to a wider audience through regular coverage, placed articles, op-eds, YouTube video clips and other media formats.
Cambre’s campaign sensitised European policymakers, the media and the general public to this international organisation’s mission in fighting poverty in the developing world through private sector investment, demonstrating how the organisation can help EU development policies to focus in that direction. The longer term aim was to generate support for future expansion of the organisation’s operations and funding worldwide.
